Hyde Productions is a two-person filmmaking unit built for accuracy, control, and efficient delivery. Dan Hyde and Dave Lawson handle camera, lighting, direction, art direction, and post without departmental layers. Both operate as DoPs and cover multiple roles with consistent, repeatable output.
Dan’s technical foundation began in theatre, followed by seven years working in TV and commercial production. Dave’s experience in the art department on large-scale series, features, and commercials gives him strong spatial and visual control. Together they cover the workload normally split across a full crew. External specialists are brought in only when scale demands it.
All primary equipment—cameras, lighting, grip, audio—is owned in-house. This keeps rental costs low and ensures full control over the production environment.
